Counting the blessings from 2009

Its time again to say goodbye to yet another year...
I tried to recall what actually happened in the past one year..
Honestly, it was a difficult task...
There were simply too many things...
So many that time flew by just like that...
There were many ups and downs throughout the past one year...
But i'm choosing to be thankful for all the blessings...

Firstly,
i'm blessed that i've survived through my 4 long years in Pharmacy course
It wasn't easy but i'm just glad it went by so quickly...
In about 4 more months, it will be the end of my 18 years of school
and then i'm graduating!!! Yays!!!
Secondly,
I'm really blessed to be serving in GLowUnited....
I told God that this year, I wanted to increase my capacity for others...
And He prepared the opportunity for me to become a leader in the cell group...
How amazing is He!!!
Moreover, its not just any cell group but in GlowUnited
where we have the most passionate people for God...
Thirdly,
I've always been blessed with very amazing parents...
Thank God for mum who is always there for us...
Thank God for Dad who never fail to protect and provide for us...
Thank God for showing me His love through these fantastic people in my life...

Thank God for my sis too...
Oh did u know she accepted Christ this year around Aug-Sept???
Yeah!!!
Been praying for her since 10years ago...
God never fail!!

Last but not least,
Thank God for B....
B has been an encouragement to me in many ways...
Through B, God really showed me how to love another person...
Though I'm still learning,
it has been a wonderful journey so far....
Looking forward to next year!!!

A Woman's Question

By Lena Lathrop

Do you know you have asked for the costliest thing
Ever made by the Hand above?
A woman's heart, and a woman's life
And a woman's wonderful love.

Do you know you have asked for this priceless thing
As a child might ask for a toy?
Demanding what others have died to win,
With the reckless dash of a boy.

You have written my lesson of duty out,
Manlike, you have questioned me.
Now stand at the bars of my woman's soul
Until I shall question thee.

You require your mutton shall always be hot,
Your socks and you shirt be whole;
I require your heart be true as God's stars
And as pure as His heaven your soul.

You require a cook for your mutton and beef,
I require a far greater thing;
A seamstress you're wanting for socks and shirts---
I look for a man and a king.

A king for the beautiful realm called Home,
And a man that his Maker, God,
Shall look upon as He did on the first
And say: "It is very good."

I am fair and young, but the rose may fade
From this soft young cheek one day;
Will you love me then 'mid the falling leaves,
As you did 'mong the blossoms of May?

Is your heart an ocean so strong and true,
I may launch my all on its tide?
A loving woman finds heaven or hell
On the day she is made a bride.
I require all things that are grand and true,
All things that a man should be;
If you give this all, I would stake my life
To be all you demand of me.

If you cannot be this, a laundress and cook
You can hire and little to pay;
But a woman's heart and a woman's life
Are not to be won that way.

To the girls,

Keep your standards high simply because you deserve it. As you consider the possibility of marriage, don't lower your standards for a moment; any guy who asks you to do so isn't worth your time.

To the guys,
My hope is that you will truly grasp the costliness, the pricelessness, of a woman's love. It is no small thing, no game, to invite a girl to accompany us through life. When your hearts are oceans "strong and true", only you stand at the bars of a woman's soul and ask to gain entrance.

1st Year Anniversary @ Camerons

To celebrate our first anniversary,
we thought what better ways other than
a peaceful place to reflect on our journey thus far...

Had strawberries topped with strawberry-flavored whipped cream

And pancakes with chocolate and more strawberries...

It tasted so goooood on a rainy evening....=) After a yummilicious dinner, we had durians...hehe

Then to Starbucks for a drink and also to work on our lil project..

Day 2
What a sight at the tea plantation...
So calm and peaceful....

How to Make A Sucky Cheesecake

1. You need a roll of oreo biscuits and marie biscuits
2. You need half a block of butter
3. You need 2 blocks of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
4. Now that you have all of the above,
start with crushing the Marie biscuits as fine as possible
(I used the Chili sauce bottle...you can try using your fist if u like)
5. Mix the crushed biscuits with the butter
6. This is how its supposed to look like after mixing
7. Next, compress the mixture with ALL your strength and ALL your might
8. Pour the cream cheese into a bowl (or a rice pot)
9. Remove the cream layer from the oreo cookies

10. Blend well the oreo cream and crushed oreo biscuit with the cream cheese
11. Pour the cream cheese on top of the compressed biscuit layer

12. Leave the cake in the fridge

Wonder how did mine go??

Shrek, Denzel Washington & Beyonce

Shrek, Denzel Washington, and Beyonce' were all having lunch together one day. Shrek said, "I have always thought that I'm the strongest man in the World, but how can I be sure". Denzel Washington said, "I'm pretty sure I'm the hottest man alive but I've never had it confirmed." Beyonce' agreed. "I'm told I'm the sexiest of them all, but sometimes I wonder."

They all decided that the best way to find out if their beliefs were true was to approach the wicked Queen's mirror to confirm for them whether Shrek was the strongest, Denzel Washington was the hottest, and Beyonce' was the sexiest. They agreed to meet again the next day for lunch to discuss their findings.

Well the next day Shrek walked up with a smile. "It's true. The mirror told me that I am the strongest man in the world."

Denzel chimed in while boasting, "It's true; I am the hottest man alive."

Beyonce walked in, with tears in her eyes, and asked,
"Who the HELL is CHUAH JO LIN?!"

The next Lara Croft

Hold on to your Dreams....
Even when someone is making noise behind....
Aim far and straight
Never lose sight of your destiny...
Even when 99% of the time you dun hit the target...
Because all that matters
is the 1% where you achieve your goal in the end...
(Look at C on the scoreboard...hehe...=P)

GOOOOO Malaysia!!!!

B is one die-hard Manchester United fan since dunno how many donkey years ago
So when ManU decided to have a friendly with the Malaysian team,
B surely wud not miss it for anything...
I, on the other hand, am not a fan to any specific football clubs...
I dun mind watching but i wun die if i dun la...
Since the whole malaysia will be there to support ManU,
I just had to play my role as a citizen to give my fullest support
to the malaysian team
even if i'm goin to be de only one screaming for Malaysia...
And so I went.

On July 18,
we took the lrt to Bukit Jalil so to avoid the massive jam at the stadium.
You can never imagine the ManU spirit from de lrt stations all the way to the stadium.
It was madness!!!

Everyone dressed in red
packing the lrt like sardine...
I wore red cos i had to pretend like one of those manU fans...
Or i mite be trampled over by them...

Madness all the way to the stadium..seriously!!

Everyone stood up and cheered when the ManU team entered the field

ManU scored the first goal....
Not very long after,
the Malaysian team scored their first goal..
I jumped n screamed like a monkey...
Guess wat?
B stood up n cheered as well =)
Not only that,
the WHOLE stadium cheered like crazeee.....
even louder than when ManU scored..as though MJ just came back alive.
It was so breath-taking to see the true malaysian spirit in unity
It was 2-2 draw all the way until the 85th minute
when Owen scored the 3rd goal for ManU...
Though Malaysia din win (as expected),
i think Malaysia did a fantastic job
both on the field as well as supporting.
Bravo Malaysia!!!
KUALA LUMPUR: They may be die-hard Manchester United fans but they are Malaysians at heart.
The Red Devils may have won 3-2 yesterday but it was the plucky Harimau Muda team which captured the hearts at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
Awash with a sea of red, the stadium was filled with Manchester United fans, yet the biggest cheers were reserved for the courageous Malaysians who took the fight to their more illustrious opponents.
